The sights and sounds of the Spring invoke an itching to get outside, and Orlando is perfect for stretching your legs after a long Winter indoors. Venture out to Lake Eola Park and discover what the local merchants have in season at the Downtown Orlando Farmers’ Market.
A wide variety of items are brought out every weekend, and there is plenty for the picking. A vast array of organic produce from the farms of local Florida farmers is always available; items like honey, herbs, seasonal vegetables, fruits, and more are frequently found with the local vendors. Colorful, ornate items and artwork are also up for grabs including jewelry, clothing, pottery, handmade soaps, and even pet supplies.
While shopping for the best in local crafts and produce, several local eateries and food vendors to help you tackle a hungry stomach. Chow down on tasty concession and food items including a wide variety of ethnic foods — Latin, Jamaican, and American — gourmet breads, soups, breakfast and lunch, or enjoy one of the main staples of any festival like hot funnel cakes or hot dogs.
