Pebble Creek at Lake Mary assists hungry children in Seminole County

Don't let this be all a child eats today - Find out how you can help!

Believe it or not, in every school in Seminole county there are children who won’t eat between their last school meal on Friday and the school breakfast on Monday.  School officials are beginning to identify these kids and have started food pantries in every school to help them.  Every Friday, backpacks are filled with food and the kids take them home, bringing the empty bags back on Monday.  The need is ongoing!  The School Board has asked local businesses to “adopt” a pantry and help provide food on a regular basis.

Pebble Creek at Lake Mary Apartments has adopted the middle school in our district – Greenwood Lakes Middle School.  We shop every month with a fixed budget and lots of coupons, watching for the sales.  We also have a basket in the lobby of the office/clubhouse for donations from our residents.  We ask residents to donate a canned good when they come for our complimentary monthly breakfast.  We also ask that the groups that use the Clubhouse at a reduced cost or at no cost (HOAs) also contribute canned goods.  Any non-perishable food is welcome, but the school has specifically requested proteins – canned tuna/chicken, chili, peanut butter, beans.

If you would like to help in our mission to keep the hungry children of Seminole County fed, please call us today at 866-761-6772.
