Overdue Orlando Parking Ticket Finally Paid
Often, when we receive tickets, we’re obligated to pay them — especially if you don’t want to receive any more action from the law. However, one story about a long lost Orlando ticket finally makes its conclusion.
An 89-year old man from Michigan sent a $1 to the City of Orlando for an unpaid parking ticket. The parking ticket which had been issued on Nov. 7th, 1975, was found in a book the man bought in a garage sale years later in 1995. The man also included a letter stating, “Better late than never!” which the Orlando Police Department found hilarious.
The man mailed the ticket in the original envelope to the City of Orlando from his home in Michigan. The ticket found its way to a department that once functioned as a traffic and night court auditorium. The traffic laws of 1975 have since been abolished in Orlando.
