Orlando's Wetlands Park Festival at Fort Christmas Park

What is so unique about the wetlands and eco-system of Florida? There is much to be discovered about Florida’s eco-systems and how it natural cleans and regenerate it’self. In order for residents to fully understand and respect our environment, it is encouraged residents come out and explore the wonder of nature at Orlando Wetlands Park Festival.

Held at Fort Christmas Park, this event explores and educates the public on the 1,650 acre project was engineered as a treatment marsh for the wastewater of Orlando. This park is covered by a vast assortment of aquatic plants and animals that help the land and wildlife.

On February, 19th from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., join other Orlando residents for a trip through the marshlands. Discover beautiful birds and other wildlife that reside in the marshlands of Orlando, and venture on a guided bird excursion. Experience the wonder of theĀ plant lifeĀ as you take a guided hike and discover the unique varieties of aquatic plants.

For those that enjoy rides, there will be guided hay rides and bus tours with guided tours and expeditions. Hang around for festivities such as giveaways, door prizes and live folk music. There will also be additional activities for the kids as well! It’s a learning adventure for all that attend1
